The Customs Department has revealed a unique drug smuggling. According to Air Custom, on 2 January, officials of the Customs Department at the Indira Gandhi International Airport intercepted an Afghan citizen on a secret input. When the Afghan civilian was searched, some suspicious material appeared in his lower abdomen, after which the custom officials took the accused Afghan civilian to the hospital for medical examination. On getting medical, 89 plastic tablets were found in the stomach.
About 635 grams of white powder came out of 89 plastic capsules recovered from the stomach of an Afghan citizen. According to customs officials, when the powder recovered from the capsules was examined using narcotics, it was found that the white powder in the capsule recovered from the stomach of an Afghan citizen was nothing but heroin. According to customs officials, the price of heroin in the international market is 40 million. The accused Afghan citizen has been arrested under the NDPS Act and the recovered heroine has been seized.
