PM Modi on farmers’ demonstration, center proposal on agricultural laws still intact


Ghaziabad / New Delhi. Supporters of the Bharatiya Kisan Union started gathering again on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway on Friday and the crowd of farmers started growing there. At the call of BKU, more farmers from districts of western Uttar Pradesh like Meerut, Baghpat, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Murabadabad and Bulandshahr reached UP Gate to join this movement.

Meanwhile, the Union Home Ministry has ordered a temporary shutdown of Internet services in Singhu, Ghazipur, Tikri Border and their adjoining areas from 11 am to 29 pm on January 29. At the same time, the Ghaziabad administration has given an ultimatum to vacate the UP Gate demonstration site where a large number of security forces have been deployed.

Along with this, Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Kumar Lallu, RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary and Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad met Tikait. Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and BSP chief Mayawati have also supported their party to the peasant movement.
