new Delhi: National Highway-24 was closed today due to the demonstration of farmers taking place on the Delhi border against the three agricultural laws of the central government. Actually, the number of farmers on the Ghazipur border is continuously increasing. Delhi Traffic Police informed about the closure of National Highway-24.
The number of farmers on the Delhi border again increased
Explain that after the call of Rakesh Tikait, leader of the Bhartiya Kisan Union, the farmers of the Bijnor, Meerut, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Moradabad and Bulandshahar districts of Uttar Pradesh (Uttar Pradesh) in Delhi Border But farmers have reached to join the protest.
However, the UP police gave an ultimatum to the farmers to evacuate the highway. But the crowd of farmers has increased now. A large number of security personnel have been deployed here.

NH-24 connects these cities to Delhi
Explain that National Highway-24 connects Delhi to the major cities of Uttar Pradesh, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur and Lucknow etc. Due to the closure of National Highway-24, people coming to and from Delhi from these cities of UP will face trouble.
Know that on Thursday, there was a situation of confrontation on the Ghazipur border, due to continuous power cuts by the administration at the protest site. A large number of agitators led by farmer leader Rakesh Tikait have been demonstrating at Ghazipur border since 28 November 2020.

Opposition parties support the farmer movement
Significantly, Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav and BSP supremo Mayawati have supported the peasant movement. Apart from this, Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Kumar Lallu, RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary and Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad met Rakesh Tikait and supported him.
