New Delhi, Jan 30 (PTI) The Delhi High Court has upheld the lower court order granting permission to industrialist Deepak Puri to visit the US for treatment of oral cancer. Puri along with his son Ratul Puri are accused in a Rs 354 crore bank fraud case related to his company Moser Baer. Justice Rajneesh Bhatnagar dismissed the CBI’s plea challenging the trial court order dated 23 December 2020. New Delhi, Jan 30 (PTI) The Delhi High Court has upheld the lower court order granting permission to industrialist Deepak Puri to visit the US for treatment of oral cancer. Puri along with his son Ratul Puri are accused in a Rs 354 crore bank fraud case related to his company Moser Baer. Justice Rajneesh Bhatnagar dismissed the CBI’s plea challenging the trial court order dated 23 December 2020. “I did not see any deficiency in the order issued by the Special Judge on 23 December 2020,” the judge said in the order dated 27 January. Therefore, this order is upheld. As a result, the present petition is dismissed. “The lower court granted Puri and his wife Neeta permission to travel abroad. However, the CBI had requested the High Court to stay this order of the lower court.
