Home Minister Amit Shah may have canceled his visit to West Bengal over the situation arising out of the bombings outside the Israeli embassy in Delhi, but he has again given a big shock to the ruling Trinamool Congress and Mamata Banerjee. At the end of last year, he went to Bengal and included an influential leader like Shubhendu Adhikari to the BJP, and now he has got several TMC rebel leaders including former Mamata’s minister Rajib Banerjee to get party membership in Delhi. These leaders were brought to Delhi from chartered plane on Saturday evening and became members of the saffron party after meeting former BJP president Amit Shah.
Those who joined the BJP after meeting Amit Shah include MLAs Prabir Ghoshal and Baishali Dalmia and former Howrah mayor Ratin Chakraborty, besides Rajib Banerjee. These dancers were brought to Delhi by special aircraft. Ghoshal and Dalmia have recently been expelled from the Trinamool Congress.
He is also joined by former Trinamool Congress MLA Parthasarathy Chattopadhyay and actor Rudranil Ghosh from Ranaghat West Assembly in Nadia district. BJP national vice president Mukul Roy and national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya have also come to Delhi with these leaders. Banerjee said she had talks with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who called her to the national capital.

Rajib told a Bangla news channel, “I received a call from the BJP leadership after my resignation from the Trinamool Congress. Amit Shah ji asked me to come to Delhi. If I get an assurance regarding the development of the state, then I will join the party. He also urged me to inform five other important personalities to walk with him, who want to serve the people in a better way. ”
Asked about his possible role in the BJP, Banerjee said it was for the party to decide. He said, “I want to work for the public. Therefore, I will accept the responsibility given to me. ”A top BJP leader said that these people can join the BJP today or return and they will be given a party in the program to be held on Sunday at Dumurjula Stadium. Can be included in
According to saffron party sources, these leaders were to be inducted into the BJP at the proposed Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s rally in Dumurjula, Howrah on Sunday. However, Shah’s two-day visit to West Bengal was canceled at the last minute after the blast incident outside the Israeli embassy in Delhi. Now, Union Minister Smriti Irani will replace Shah in the program.
On the development, senior Trinamool Congress MP and party spokesperson Saugat Roy said, “Those who left have no long political history and most of them were included in the party by Mamata Banerjee.” In future, the Trinamool Congress will be cautious. Another senior Trinamool Congress leader and minister Subrata Mukherjee said, “What can be done if someone wants to go?” We are a big party. We cannot stop the dissidents from deploying the army. ”
