Jagran Correspondent, East Delhi: The Corporation’s school has been completed in Kanti Nagar ward at a cost of about Rs. 1 crore. It was inaugurated on Saturday by BJP state president Adesh Gupta. Adesh Gupta said that work is also being done by Eastern Corporation for upliftment of education in this difficult time. It is the result of relentless hard work that today a good building of a school has been built. East Delhi teachers, as the Corona era warriors, emphasized lockdown online education and benefited nearly two lakh children in 357 corporation schools in East Delhi. As a result of this, 38,000 new admissions have taken place in East Delhi Municipal Corporation schools even during the Corona crisis, thanking the teachers of East Delhi for this.
Adesh Gupta said that despite the deduction of funds from the Kejriwal government, this grand new building has been prepared. Education Minister Manish Sisodia, who talks big about the education model, should once see this building of the Eastern Municipal Corporation. He said that Kejriwal has no concern for Delhi. Had it been, the Municipal Corporation would have been refunded Rs 13,000 crore so that the corporation workers would have been paid on time. Kejriwal is fond of taking credit only. He said that the corporation will construct a school by constructing a porta cabin in Yamuna Khadar, in which more than 2,000 children will be educated. On this occasion, Mayor Nirmal Jain said that if the Eastern Corporation had got its rightful money then all the employees and other facilities including salary would have been available on time. The salary of East Delhi Municipal Corporation employees is Rs 2,196 crore annually, but Kejriwal government has given only Rs 144 crore this year. Kejriwal is crippling the corporation.
Local councilor Kanchan Maheshwari said that 12 rooms, 6 store rooms and toilet blocks have been constructed in the renovation of this school at a cost of one crore 75 lakh. On this occasion, State Leader Sadan Pravesh Sharma, MLA Anil Vajpayee, Education Committee President Romesh Gupta, Media Head Naveen Kumar, Shahdara District President Ram Kishore Sharma, State Spokesperson Aditya Jha, Councilor Shyam Sundar Agarwal, Mandal President Manoj Kumar, District Mahila Morcha Chairpersons Deepika Jain, Rajan Verma, Krishna Bhardwaj, Kusum Gupta, Sanjay Jain etc. were present.
