Mumbai: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed readiness to discuss with the farmers in the all-party meeting, NCP supremo Sharad Pawar has given some advice to the Central Government on agricultural laws. Raising storage limits on grains, pulses, onions, potatoes and oilseeds is likely to lead to black market. Corporate companies will buy all these goods from farmers at lower prices. After that they will store it for a long time. Therefore, the prices of these goods are likely to go up, Sharad Pawar tried to draw attention to this.
Sharad Pawar also said that he was worried about the amendment in the Essential Commodities Act. ‘No opposition to positive reforms in market committees’
