Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Gandhi Smriti in Delhi on Saturday evening on the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation and paid tribute to him and also attended the prayer meeting held there. Apart from Prime Minister Modi, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, many other leaders and dignitaries have joined the prayer meeting.
According to the information, President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Rajghat on Saturday morning and paid tribute to Bapu on the occasion of 73rd death anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also reached Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
Earlier, President Kovind tweeted and said, “My humble tribute to Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation on the occasion of his death anniversary. We should follow his values of peace, non-violence, simplicity, purity of means and humility. Let us pledge to walk in the path of his truth and love. “

At the same time, PM Modi tweeted, “A tribute to great Bapu on his death anniversary. His ideals continue to inspire millions. On Martyr’s Day, we remember the sacrifices of all the great women and men who dedicated themselves to the freedom of India and the well being of every Indian. ”
