The IT department has launched an online portal through which any person can file a complaint against tax evaders. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has said that on its e-filing portal https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in, on Monday, the link ‘giving information about tax evasion or benami property holding’ has been commissioned. If the complaint is found correct, a reward of up to five crore rupees will also be received.
