Assam Hospital 1000 Doses Of Covid-19 Vaccine Spoiled Due To Sub-zero Storage


Silchar: 1000 doses of corona vaccine are feared in a hospital in Cachar district of Assam. This incident happened due to lack of zero degree storage temperature in the hospital. After information surfaced, the state government has ordered an inquiry.

This incident of Silchar is being reported on 16 January. The state government has decided to send the vaccine to the lab for examination.

According to the English newspaper Times of India, all these medicines were kept in the Vaccine Storage Unit of Silchar Medical College where it was found in a frozen condition, after which it is feared that this dose has gone bad.

According to the newspaper, a notice has been issued by the state government to the Silchar Medical College in case of wrongful maintenance of medicines.

However, nothing has been clarified by the Health Department regarding whether or not the corona vaccine dose has deteriorated.

Let us know that the Corona Vaccination Program has been started across the country from January 16 and in the first phase people are being given doses of two drugs named Covaxine and Covishield. According to the instructions of the Center, vaccination will be done in Assam four days a week.
