Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) treasurer Arun Singh Dhumal has indicated on Saturday that IPL 2021 will be held in India only. He said that after the corona epidemic in India, the situation is getting better now and we all want to organize it in India itself.

He said, ‘We are working on getting the IPL done in India. We hope this will be possible. There is no thinking about backup at this time. We all want to organize it in India itself. Dhumal, a member of the IPL governing council, said, India is more secure than UAE at the moment. Hopefully, the situation will remain stable and improve.

He further said, ‘We are working towards vaccination of sportspersons. According to government instructions, people working on the front and senior citizens will get vaccines first. We are in touch with the government so that players can get vaccinated.

At the time of the IPL starting on 19 September in the UAE, there were an average of 770 cases of corona infection a week, which has now increased to 3743. At the same time, despite more population and area in India, now less than 15 thousand cases are coming in a day, which was 90 thousand a day in September.
