Some of the Indo-Nepal borders which have been closed for the last ten months have now been opened. Keeping in mind the threat of Kovid-19, any Indian national was prohibited from going to Nepal. These three boundaries of the Far West Province are – Jhulaghat of Batadi, Khalanga of Dharchula and Pulghat. Two other boundaries of Kailali and Kanchanpur have already been opened. The decision to open these borders was taken by the Nepal government in its cabinet meeting.

With this, the citizens of both countries will be able to come to each other’s country after a long time. Nepal government has started giving all the discounts to the citizens in view of the decreasing number of Kovid-19 and the local administration has also started to make life normal.

After the decision to open borders with India, the local administration is encouraging local citizens to travel again in a normal manner, but masks and sanitization have been mandated as a precaution. Right now, these borders have been opened only for the people of India and Nepal to come and go, but citizens of a third country will not be able to go to Nepal on this route.
