Accused of threatening to kill Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar arrested from Gujarat | Crime


The accused has been taken into custody from Jamnagar, Gujarat.

Mumbai, January 6: Mumbai Police has arrested the person who threatened Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar. The accused has been arrested from Jamnagar in Gujarat and a Mumbai police squad will arrive in Mumbai tomorrow with the accused. The arrested accused is identified as Manoj Dodhia, 20. Mumbai Police is investigating why he did this. A team of investigating officer Sub-Inspector of Police Vilas Tupe arrested the accused from Jamnagar, Gujarat.

Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar had received a shocking phone call threatening to kill him. Mumbai Police had registered a case against an unidentified person in this regard. On December 22, Mayor Kishor Pednekar received a call from an unknown person. He had threatened to kill her by swearing in vulgar language. The threatening phone call caused a single sensation. After that, Kishori Pednekar went to Azhar Maidan police station and lodged a complaint.

According to police, the call came around 6 pm on December 22. The person in front was speaking in Hindi. He had gone to a very low level and was abusive. Kishori Pednekar had lodged a complaint at the Azad Maidan police station two days later. The case was kept secret by the police. It was reported that the phone came from a neighboring state.
