Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has been busy with her brother’s wedding for the past few days. Due to this, she did not appear for the interrogation even though the police issued summons for the interrogation. But now Mumbai Police has issued summons to Kangana and her sister Rangoli. Accordingly, Kangana has been summoned to appear for questioning on November 23 while Rangoli has been summoned for questioning on November 24. Earlier, Bandra police had issued summons to Kangana and Rangolina to appear on November 10 and 11, respectively. However, Kangana had informed the police that it was not possible for her to come to Mumbai for the next week as her brother was getting married.

What is the case
The summons was issued on a complaint lodged against Kangana at the Bandra police station in Mumbai. Mumbai Police had on October 17 lodged an FIR against Kangana and her sister Rangoli Chandel following a local court order. Kangana and her sister are accused of hurting religious feelings through posts on social media.
A Mumbai court has ordered Mumbai police to file a complaint against Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel for allegedly trying to create religious tensions. The court passed the order directing the police to investigate the complaint of director Munawwar Ali Syed.
A series of offensive tweets
Two sadhus were killed by a mob in Gadchinchale village in Palghar district. Kangana then tweeted offensively. She had also tweeted referring to ‘Babar Sena’ when the Mumbai Municipal Corporation broke the encroachment on Kangana’s bungalow. Putting a finger on all this, the petitioner had demanded action. Meanwhile, Kangana had also criticized the court order after the case was filed. Kangana had targeted the Thackeray government in Maharashtra, tweeting, “Pappu Sena in Maharashtra sees nothing but me.”
