The operation of Tejas Express, the country’s first private train between Coronavirus, is currently being stopped. Actually, due to Kovid-19, there was less ticket booking, due to which the train was running in deficit. The operation of Tejas Express between New Delhi to Lucknow is closed from November 23, while the operation of Tejas Express between Ahmedabad to Mumbai will stop from November 24. Let me tell you that earlier in March this year, Tejas was closed.

Behind the closure, there is less booking between Kovid. Actually, Tejas can seat about 726 passengers, but according to sources, only 60 to 70 tickets were being booked everyday. Due to this loss, it has been decided to put Tejas in the yard. The cost of running the Tejas train once comes to about Rs 15 to 16 lakhs. The Tejas train is the first private train operated by IRCTC.

Apart from this, the stalled railway services in Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir are being partially started from Monday. Trains will run partially in both states. It is known that currently 8 trains will run for Punjab and 9 trains will run for Jammu and Katra. Please tell that the operation of trains has been disrupted for 55 days.

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal also gave this information in a tweet on Monday. He said that ‘Indian Railways is going to start rail services going through Punjab, and Punjab, due to the postponement of the farmers’ movement on railway tracks and stations from November 23 in Punjab. Passengers, farmers and industries will be benefited by the removal of the deadlock in the train operations for the last several days.

Please tell that during this period, the railways have incurred a loss of 2220 crores so far. Northern Railways alone has lost 14.85 crore daily. A total of 2352 trains were disrupted during this period, while 96 rail locomotives were stranded in Punjab.
