Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday laid the foundation stone of 23 rural drinking water projects in Mirzapur and Sonbhadra districts of Vindhya region under Water Life Mission, Uttar Pradesh through video conference. did. The plan will cost a total of Rs 5,555.38 crore. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined the Gram Panchayat Karmaon of Chatra, the development block of Sonbhadra district, the main program.

In his address, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the government is going to start nine projects in Mirzapur and 14 projects in Sonbhadra, which will provide more than 41 lakh villagers every house. According to the officials of the Ministry of Water Power, the water supply will be started in the villages within the next two years after completing the scheme.

This scheme will directly benefit 21,87,980 villagers of Mirzapur. 1389 villages of Sonbhadra will also be started from the scheme. 19,53,458 families of these villages will join the drinking water supply scheme.

According to another language news, the government will spend 3212.18 crore rupees on this scheme in Sonbhadra. The water collected at the dam in Mirzapur will be purified and made potable and then supplied. The cost of this scheme has been fixed at Rs 2343.20 crore.
