During this period, the highest increase was in 1213 active cases in Delhi, 574 in Himachal Pradesh and 546 in Haryana.
According to the data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Saturday morning, 44,684 new cases of corona infection were reported across the country, taking the total number of people affected by this epidemic to over 87.73 lakh. During this period, 47,992 people have become healthy, after which the number of people getting rid of this infection has increased to more than 81.63 lakh. In the southern state of Karnataka, the number of active patients of Corona during the last 24 hours decreased to 27,045, due to a decrease of 2717 cases. Uttar Pradesh, the country’s largest state by population, has increased its number of active cases of corona by 146 during this period to 23,095 and 7,327 people have died due to the epidemic. In Tamil Nadu, there has been a decrease of 647 in active cases and this number has come down to 17,748 and 11,454 people have died so far. So far, more than 7.25 lakh people have been infection free in the state. After a decrease of 423 active cases in Kerala, their number has come down to 77,508 and so far 1822 people have died while the number of healthy people has increased to more than 4.34 lakh. In Punjab, with the increase in active cases by 335, the total number has reached 5771 and the number of people getting relief from infection has increased to more than 1.30 lakhs while 4428 people have died so far.
In Madhya Pradesh, the number of active cases has increased to 8,876 and so far more than 1.70 lakh people have become healthy while 3076 people have died due to this disease. Active cases have increased to 12,389 in Gujarat and 3791 people have died and around 1.69 lakh people have also recovered from this disease.
