Metro won’t run from NCR to Delhi, DMRC releases guidelines

Delhi Metro services will be suspended from neighboring cities to the national capital on Friday in view of the farmers ‘Delhi Chalo’ march against the new agricultural laws of the Center. However, officials said that metro services will be available from Delhi to parts of the National Capital Region (NCR). Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said on Twitter, ‘Updates for tomorrow (Friday). As per Delhi Police’s advice, metro services will be available only from Delhi towards NCR. However, due to security reasons, services from NCR stations to Delhi will not be available till further notice.

This means that you can go from Delhi to Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurugram via metro but you will not be able to come back to Delhi by metro. Earlier, DMRC said in a tweet, “Metro services will be available from Delhi to NCR sections from 2 pm. However, services from NCR sections to Delhi are still postponed until further notice for security reasons.

Before traveling in NCR, know that these services will be available.

Earlier on Wednesday, DMRC had said that trains would not cross the borders of the national capital till 2 pm on Thursday due to the farmers’ demonstration. The farmers planned to reach Delhi via five highways connecting the national capital. The Delhi Police, however, said that they have rejected all requests received in this regard from various farmer organizations. Apart from this, Delhi Police has warned that legal action will be taken against them if they come to organize any gathering in the city amid the outbreak of Kovid-19 epidemic.
