Bengal Transport Minister Suvendu Adhikari has been staying away from the party for the past several months.
There have been reports of angry Trinamool Chief Mamata Banerjee’s allies ahead of the elections in West Bengal. Transport Minister Suvendu Adhikari in the government did not attend the cabinet meeting chaired by Mamta on Wednesday. Officers have been staying away from the party for the past several months. During this time he has done many programs without the party banner. According to media reports, a total of five ministers did not attend the cabinet meeting.
Sources said that no one knows the reason for Suvendu Adhikari’s absence. Apart from the official, Education Minister Partha Chatterjee also did not attend the cabinet meeting. However, his health was reported to have worsened.
20% ministers did not reach cabinet meeting
According to sources, 80% of the ministers joined the cabinet. Apart from Suvendu Adhikari and Partha Chatterjee, no official information has been given about Rajiv Banerjee, Gautam Dev and Rabindranath Ghosh not reaching the cabinet meeting. However, discussion of dissatisfaction has begun in the Mamata government before the elections with the simultaneous absence of five ministers.
