Govardhan Puja 2020 Puja Vidhi, Muhurat Timings, Samagri, Mantra: According to Hindu calendar, Govardhan Puja is done every year on Pratipada date of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. According to the Gregorian calendar, in the year 2020, Govardhan Puja is being celebrated today, November 15, Sunday. Govardhan Puja is said to have great importance. Since ancient times, Shri Krishna, who holds the Govardhan mountain on his little finger, is being worshiped.

Govardhan Puja Ka Shubh Muhurat

Govardhan Puja Ki Samagri
Wheat, rice, cow dung, roli, rice, kheer, betashe, water, milk, paan, saffron, flowers, jaggery, green fodder, milk, curd, honey, gangajal, sugar, incense, lamp, naivedya, basil leaf , Garlands of yellow flowers, flutes, fruits and dakshina etc.

Govardhan Puja Vidhi
Govardhan Puja is also called Annakoot Puja. On this day, a meal made of wheat and rice, cereals, gram flour gram yellow jaggery curry and leafy green vegetables is cooked. Later all this enjoyment is offered to Lord Krishna. On the day of Govardhan Puja, the statue of Govardhan Nath i.e. Lord Shri Krishna is made with cow dung in the courtyard of the house.

After this, lit a lamp with roli, rice, kheer, betashe, water, milk, paan, saffron and flowers etc. and worship it. Orbit Govardhan Nath made from cow dung. Then offer Annakoot Bhog to please God Giriraj, the God of Braj. 56 types of food items are included in Annakoot. On this day, Lord Krishna is worshiped in Pradosh Kaal i.e. in the evening time through rituals. Also, worshiping cow on the day of Govardhan Puja and feeding jaggery and green fodder is considered good.
