Alert issued along the Line of Control
An alert has been issued near the Line of Control after a flying object was spotted in Mendhar sector of Poonch in the mountainous district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday morning. Official sources said that the suspected object was probably a drone and the army also opened fire on it. Mendhar SDPO Z A Jafri said that the special operation of the army and police is going on in the area.
Was fired on friday
Earlier in the Samba sector on the international border, Pakistan has made continuous efforts to drop weapons from drones. Pakistani drones also entered Indian territory on Friday evening, which were fired upon by vigilant BSF personnel and fired back.
Pakistan has already sought to exploit the geographical conditions of the Samba sector. Pakistan’s eye is on the hilly drains which help to reach the highway secretly and close to the Jammu and Kashmir National Highway.
Pakistani drones were spotted on Friday in the Chak Fakira area of Banglad, which is being linked to arms smuggling. Earlier, drones were also seen in Ramgarh area. Drones were also seen twice near Samba’s Bai Nala. At one time, weapons were also recovered from Rasana area. The consignment of arms has also been found from Basantar Dariya of Samba.
Search operation on the second day
Security forces in the Chak Fakira area also conducted a search operation in the area in the early hours of Saturday. Security forces searched the entire area, but weapons and other suspicious items were not recovered. Despite this, security agencies are on alert throughout the area.
