In view of increasing cases of Corona virus, the markets were closed since Sunday morning as per the decision of the district administration in Shimla, Himachal capital. The administration has decided to keep the market closed every Sunday until further orders. However, essential commodities such as milk, yogurt, medicines, vegetable and grocery shops, meats, restaurants and dhabas will remain open. This order has been implemented in the entire district.

In view of the increasing cases of Corona infection, most of the city’s traders supported the closure of the market. Markets remained closed on Sunday. In the festive season, the district administration had allowed the market to be kept open on Sunday on the demand of the city businessmen. But this will not be allowed from this Sunday. Traders also have not asked permission to keep the market open on Sunday. They say that it is necessary to close the market to enforce labor laws and avoid corona infection. The awareness campaign was conducted in the city in association with Shimla Vyapar Mandal Police Department. Under this, awareness stickers are being installed outside the shops of the city. In this, businessmen are being encouraged to wear masks and maintain social distance.

Shimla Business Division President Indrajit Singh said that it is necessary to follow the rules to avoid corona. Businessmen are also being made aware of this. Said that traders will keep the market closed on Sunday.
