Aurangabad: It was rumored that many BJP leaders and office bearers would step down after Eknath Khadse slammed the BJP. Now, after Khadse, another senior leader has pushed the BJP. Former Union Minister of State Jaysingrao Gaikwad has resigned from the BJP’s primary membership.
Gaikwad was elected MP from Beed Lok Sabha constituency three times. He had also won twice from Marathwada graduate constituency. He was the Minister of State for Co-operation in the State Cabinet. He was also the Minister of State for Education and Mines at the Center.
Gaikwad was currently a member of the BJP’s state working committee. However, he had been sidelined from active politics for the past few days. Jaysingrao Gaikwad, who came from Sangh Mushi, was working in BJP from Jansangh. He had worked with Gopinath Munde for the expansion of the party in Marathwada. He has filed his candidature as an independent from Marathwada division for the forthcoming graduate constituency elections. Therefore, BJP’s problems are likely to increase in this election.
After the Mahavikas Aghadi government came, the highest caste incoming NCP has started. The number of leaders joining the NCP has been increasing in the last few days. After resigning from the BJP, Jaysingrao Gaikwad is expected to join the NCP. Therefore, there is a possibility that the strength of NCP in Marathwada will increase.
Meanwhile, Gaikwad expressed his grief after resigning. ‘The party doesn’t get treated with respect. I have not been given any responsibility for the last 13 years. I can’t even get a job in the party, ‘he lamented. ‘I will not say anything right now about joining the NCP. Now I want to bring down the BJP. He will start his Marathwada tour for Satish Chavan’s campaign from tomorrow.
