BJP takes help of Nationalism and Hinduism to spread in Dravidian politics in Tamil Nadu

The BJP has expanded in several states during the last five-six years. But Tamil Nadu still remains tough for the BJP. In the Dravidian politics of Tamil Nadu, the BJP was not able to stand alone or on its own. But the party in the hands of the party, they never give up. Therefore, in the coming assembly elections, the party is trying to make its entry in the state with the help of nationalism and Hindutva.

In fact, preparations for BJP’s assembly elections have already started even before Amit Shah’s visit to Tamil Nadu. The party is working on many levels. A campaign of recruitment of leaders, former bureaucrats and enlightened people in the party is going on. About one hundred and fifty people are expected to join the party within the next one week. The party is waging a grassroots campaign to spread the work of the Central Government to the people through information technology in the state.

The party has started the Vetrivel Yatra to go public on the issue of Hindutva, about which the ally AIADMK is not comfortable. There is even a ruckus on this issue that it is being said that hardly BJP and AIADMK should contest the assembly elections together. However, talk of continuing the alliance from both sides is also being said. But recently, Vati Srinivasan, the national president of BJP Mahila Morcha, clearly said that Dravidian politics has really damaged Hindutva.

BJP has got 12-20 lakh votes in the assembly and Lok Sabha elections to be held in the state. If we look at the percentage, BJP got 2.86 percent votes in the 2016 assembly elections but could not win the seat. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, 5.5 per cent votes were won and one seat won. While in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the vote was 3.66 percent but did not win the seat. But there are some achievements in the BJP account in the state. In 2001, the BJP won four seats in the assembly and one in 1996. Recently BJP managed to win 80 BJP candidates. The state BJP even claims that if it prepares properly in the upcoming assembly elections, it can get at least 60 seats.

A central BJP leader said that the party was very serious about Tamil Nadu. Secondly, in the coming days many celebrities can join the party. Among these celebrities, former Union Minister and Karunanidhi’s son M.K. The names of Alhagiri and Rajinikanth are discussed. But whether the alliance will continue with the AIADMK is not clear.
