Meera Nair’s web series ‘A Suitable Boy’ released on the OTT platform Netflix has come under controversy. A complaint has been filed against Netflix in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. Here, BJP leader Gaurav Tiwari has alleged that the web series has shown scenes which hurt Hindu sentiments and promote love jihad.

The web series featured a romance between Ishaan Khattar and Tabu. Ishaan plays Man Kapoor in the series, while Tabu is in Saida Bai’s role. Ranveer Shorey is the heir in the series and Vijay Verma is in the role of Rashid. Madhya Pradesh BJP leader has raised objection to showing Inter Religion Love in the series. Gaurav Tiwari is a member of the BJP Yuva Morcha in Rewa.

Gaurav has also shared many scenes of the series and the police complaint on Twitter. He appealed to people to uninstall Netflix from mobile.

Home minister ordered an inquiry

State Home Minister Narottam Mishra has ordered an inquiry into the case. He has also tweeted in this regard.
