Due to Kovid-19, cinemas in the state have been closed for the last seven months. In this connection, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray today held discussions with the owners of multiplexes and cinemas through a television system. On this occasion, Chief Minister Thackeray assured to start cinemas in the state soon.
Chief Minister Thackeray said that the crisis of Kovid-19 in the state is great and he is satisfied that the owners of cinemas are with the government during this crisis. It is true that cinemas need cinemas to run and we are moving in that direction. Maharashtra re-established the industrial sector to provide employment to the workers. After that, permission was recently given to start hotels and restaurants at 50 per cent capacity. Now that the metro service has been launched, local trains have also been extended to avoid congestion in the railways. The cinemas in the state will also be started as per the SOP, which has been decided with positivity in mind. So far many transactions have been closed and we are starting one by one. The entertainment sector is the driving force behind the state’s economic cycle. Neither you nor the government are happy to keep this area closed.
