Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s younger brother Chiranjeev Tejas Thackeray has discovered a fourth new species of fish in the Sahyadri mountain range. Tejas Thackeray has discovered a new species of fish with golden hair in Hiranyakash river in Amboli ghat.
This is the 20th species of this fish and the fourth species discovered by Tejas Thackeray. He had earlier discovered a rare species of Pali in the Sahyadri range.
Now this new species of fish discovered in Hiranyakash river has been named as ‘Hiranyakeshi’. It means Sanskrit with golden hair. Underwater photographer Shankar Balasubramaniam and the head of the research paper, Dr. Praveen Raj Jayasinha’s support was received.
Earlier, Tejas Thackeray had discovered a rare species of Pali. Tejas Thackeray and Akshay Khandekar’s team have discovered this rare species of Pali (New Gecko Species). The rare Pali is called ‘Magnificent Dwarf Gecko’.
Pali of this rare species has been found in the vertical rocks of Sakleshpur in Karnataka. Fifty different Pali species are found in India. Now, these eyeballs are attracting the attention of zoologists due to their different anatomy.
Tejas Thackeray had discovered a new species of snake nine months ago, in September. A new species of ‘Cat Snake’ was discovered in the Western Sahyadri Ghats of Maharashtra. The new species of this snake was named ‘Snake Boiga Thackeray’.
