On the Assam citizenship issue, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind national president Maulana Syed Arshad Madni said that the communal forces in Assam had failed. This is the reason that they are now deliberately creating an atmosphere of fear in the state.

In a statement released on Sunday, Maulana Arshad Madni said that during the entire NRC process, these forces tried to disrupt in various ways. But on every occasion, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind did not let his intention succeed. Now the new state coordinators have come up with a new story, on which Jamiat is going to the Supreme Court. Jamiat will first take up the matter in court to challenge the appointment of the new coordinator, which has been pending since January.
