Jailed for six months for stealing electricity, fined 2.20 lakh

Jasan, Outer Delhi: Special electricity court of Rohini has sentenced Manoj Kumar, a resident of Bangera, Narela, to six months in jail in connection with electricity theft case. Apart from this, a fine of Rs 2.20 lakh has also been imposed. It was confirmed in the court that the accused had illegally stolen electricity from electric wire.

CEO of Tata Power-DDL, Mr. Ganesh Srinivasan said that the company suffers a lot due to power theft. People who steal electricity should take action.
