The ministry said in a statement that the rate of infection in the country is 7.94 percent and is steadily declining. The statement said that evidence has shown that the rate of infection is decreasing due to extensive investigation. With the cumulative infection rate coming down, it can be estimated that this is being effectively controlled.
The ministry said that more investigations everywhere are helping in detecting cases of infection early. This has led to the detection of severely infected people and getting timely and effective treatment in homes, isolated centers and hospitals. In this way, the death rate is also decreasing.
According to the statement, more than 9.5 crore people have been tested for corona virus so far. The daily average rate of infection by the third week of October is 6.13 percent. The ministry said that this is the result of the central government’s investigation, detection of infectives, treatment and effective technical strategy, which the state and union territory are effectively following.
According to the statement of the ministry, the number of Kovid-19 patients being treated in the country is also decreasing rapidly. On Monday, for the third consecutive day, the number of patients was less than eight lakhs. According to the ministry’s data till 8 am, 7,72,055 people are still under treatment in the country, which is 10.23 percent of the total number of people found infected.
The ministry said that the total number of cured people has increased to 66,63,608. The statement said that 66,399 people recovered from the infection yesterday and 55,722 more people were found infected. The infection recovery rate in the country is 88.26 percent.
