The entrance exam for Jamia Millia Islamia University for admission in 126 courses and diplomas including undergraduate, postgraduate in academic session 2020-21 has started from Saturday, which will run till 22 November. This year 217817 students have applied online for admission.

Examination centers have been set up in other states including Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Bihar, Rajasthan, which are being conducted in two shifts. Examination was done under special SOP of Kovid-19 of Union Health Ministry.

Three examination centers were also built at the Jamia Campus. Arrangements were made for seating 12 students in a room under social distance. According to the university administration, a decision was taken to admit the entrance exam in the 2020 session as per the Executive Council decision held on 22 September.

Under this, examination centers have been made in major cities across the country. Outside the center, students were allowed to appear in the examination only after testing and sanitizing the temperature. During this time, the students were allowed to bring water bottles and small sanitizers. If a student’s body temperature is high or he has some kind of problem, then he is also given the facility to sit in a separate isolation room.

Waiting room facilities for parents
Due to Kovid-19, for the first time, the waiting room was provided for parents in the national level entrance examination. Waiting rooms were built keeping in mind the students of remote areas, especially the parents of female candidates. Here, seating was arranged for them keeping in mind the social distance.

Deploy help desk and volunteer
A help desk was built at the Jamia Campus for the convenience of the students. In this, different teams coordinated with different examination centers and helped. NSS volunteers were also deployed at all the centers, which are providing information to the students.
