In view of the increasing cases of corona infection in Delhi day by day, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Sunday said that all schools for students will remain closed till 31 October in the capital. Earlier, Kejriwal government had decided to keep the schools closed till 5 October. Due to the increasing outbreak of Corona, the Delhi government has decided to keep the schools closed till 31 October.

According to data released by the Health Ministry of Delhi, the number of infected in the capital increased to 2,87,930. During this period, a total of 2,57,224 people have defeated the corona virus due to the recovery of 3,440 more patients. During the same period, the number of people who died due to this epidemic has increased to 5,472 with the deaths of 34 more patients from corona infection.

39,306 people were screened in Delhi in the last 24 hours and the positive rate was 5.74 percent. A total of 32,30,952 samples of the virus have been tested here. The average figure of investigation per 100,000 in the capital is 1,70,050. The positive rate is found to be 8.91 percent of the total investigations in Delhi.

It is a matter of relief that the number of active cases of corona in the capital decreased to 1,216 and to 25234 as against 26,450 on Friday. Of these, there are 15,449 in home isolations. The death rate in Delhi is 1.9 percent. The number of prohibited areas increased to 2658 today in an effort to prevent the increasing outbreak of infection.
