Railway employees (Indian Railway Employees) have announced a nationwide strike for their pending demands. He says that if the demands are not met, soon the railway employees across the country will be forced to go on an indefinite strike.

NFIR General Secretary Dr. M Raghuvaiya said on Tuesday that 13 lakh railway employees are running their lives day and night by putting their lives at stake in the midst of Corona Crisis, but despite this the Government of India employees Not meeting the pending demands.
According to him, around 2000 crore rupees have been pending bonus of railway employees across the country, which has not yet been paid by the government to the railway employees. Even in the Corona period, railway personnel are working to keep the railway operation smooth, due to which about 300 railway employees have died so far due to Kovid 19 infection. The families of these railwaymen should be given appropriate compensation.

Raghuvaiya said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said in Varanasi that Indian Railways is Navratna, but today the work of privatization of this Navratna is going on. Railway operations are being given in private hands. NFIR will not accept it at all.
He said that bonus of railway personnel should be paid before Dussehra. Raghuvaiya said that on October 11, we had a meeting with the Railway Minister, in which everything about the railway employees was kept .. But if our demands are not met then soon the railway employees across the country will be forced to go on an indefinite strike.
NFIR spokesperson SN Malik said that bonuses are the right of railway employees, which they take on the basis of production. Railway workers should get the pending bonus till 2019-20. Since 1977, millions of railway employees have been getting it continuously. Apart from this, the installment of pensioner’s dearness allowance has been stopped, that is also unfair with former railwaymen. The government cannot stop it in the name of Corona crisis.
SN Malik said that if this is the policy of the Government of India, then NFIR stands with all the railway employees and if the demands are not met, the rail wheel will be stopped all over the country.
