Gadchiroli, October 18: Police have nabbed five Maoists in a clash at Kasneli forest in Gadchiroli district. The dead included three female and two male Maoists.
C-60 (C-60) commandos and Maoists are still reported to be fighting in the forest of Kasneli. This is the biggest operation against the Maoists this year, police sources said.
On the other hand, two Maoists were reported killed in clashes in Telangana.

In the last few days, there was a clash between Maoists and jawans in Gadchiroli district. The jawans had succeeded in eliminating two Maoists. The eruption took place in the early hours of Sunday (September 15) in the Gyarapatti forest in Karechi taluka.
The C-60 jawans indiscriminately opened fire on them while conducting an anti-Maoist operation in the Nareksa forest area. The jawans responded to this cowardly attack. Troops also destroyed a Maoist camp. A large cache of weapons was recovered from the spot and a search operation was launched in the area. One male and one female Maoist were among the dead. Five Maoists were injured in the encounter. Bhaskar, a member of the Maoist’s Dandakaranya Zonal Committee, was also present at the spot. On May 1, a landmine was detonated by Naxals near Jambhurkheda village in Kurkheda taluka of Gadchiroli. 15 jawans were martyred in it. Bhaskar was the mastermind of this incident.

Meanwhile, earlier on July 6, security forces and Naxals clashed in Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh. Four Naxalites were killed in the incident. According to the information received, the encounter took place in the forest of Mechka Police Thane area. One male and three female Naxalites were killed. Troopers had recovered 4 bodies after the encounter.
