In the wake of Corona virus, the board can announce the names of 32 players in the team for One-Day, T20 and Test series.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to announce Team India for the tour of Australia by the end of this week. The names of 32 players in the team can be announced for One-Day, T20 and Test series. The board is preparing to announce such a big team, given the threat of Corona virus. At the same time, this time the players will not be able to take their family along on the tour.

Why the need of such a big team?
Quoting media reports, the board said that the selection committee has been asked to select a larger team. We want the back-up players to be ready during the tour of Australia. If a player gets hurt, then there is no such situation at the moment that we can send any replacement from India.

With such a large team, the board will have many players to conduct intra-team practice matches. A total of 50 people are expected to visit, including support staff.

Date not yet fixed: Ganguly
Board President Sourav Ganguly recently said that Cricket Australia has sent us the proposal. We will play 3 T20s, 3 One-Day and 4 Tests there. The first Test in Adelaide will be Day-Night. The dates have not been finalized yet.

There will be limited overs cricket before the Test. In such a situation, the players who will not be part of the Test team will be sent back soon. For players like Cheteshwar Pujara, Hanuma Vihari, who are not part of any team in the IPL, the board can conduct practice matches in the UAE.

Team will go to Australia after IPL ends
India team will depart Australia directly from UAE after the IPL ends on 10 November. The team will play a series of first three one-day matches, after a 14-day quarantine. After that there will be a series of 3 T20 matches. At the same time, the Test match series will start in Adelaide. This is India’s first day-night match abroad. The Boxing Day Test in Melbourne and the third Test will be played in Sydney. The final Test match will be in Brisbane.

Not allowed to take with family
On the tour of the family with the players in the IPL, the board gave the franchisees the right to decide. Many are in the UAE along with their husbands, including Anushka Sharma, Ritika Sajdeh. The board is considering not giving permission to the family to tour Australia. In such a situation, once the league is over, the players who will be going directly from UAE to Australia, their family will have to return to India.
