‘Allow Mumbaikars to travel locally’; High Court directs state government

Mumbai | The state government should increase the number of local rounds. Also, the Mumbai High Court has directed the state government to allow Mumbaikars to travel locally.

The lockdown in the state is being relaxed. Malls, hotels have been started. Even in government offices, 100 per cent attendance of employees is mandatory. Also, employees in private offices have started coming to work. In view of all this, the High Court has directed that the number of local trains in Mumbai should be increased.

A bench of Chief Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Girish Kulkarni directed that the general public should also be allowed to travel locally.
