During his tenure in the suburb of Dwarka, there was a very cordial relationship between the people and the police. People used to call them sigham affectionately. Suburban residents wish him well for his future after retirement. Farewell celebrations have been organized by various organizations in the suburban for several days for his retirement. Rajendra Singh thanked everyone for the respect and love he was getting from the people.
Significantly, his journey from the SI of Delhi Police to become ACP in the year 1986 was full of achievements. Rajendra Singh has received several Police Medals for his outstanding work. He has also been honored by the President’s hands. During his tenure, he played an important role in solving many complicated matters. He played a key role in bringing Devendra alias Bunty, who was involved in dozens of cases of vehicle theft in Delhi, behind bars. They are praised in the police department for their role in solving the Dhaulakuan gangrape, the Soumya Vishwanathan murder case, the Jigisha murder case, the Ponty Chadha murder case and the Nirbhaya case. He has always been a favorite of the Delhi Police Commissioner. During the Commonwealth Games, the venue of the inauguration and closing ceremony used to come in the Lodhi Colony police station area. The command of that police station was specially handed over to him. During his 34-year tenure, he spent most of the time stationed in various police station areas of South Delhi.
