Jeroen Zoet responded for the first time to his striking switch to FC Utrecht. The goalkeeper was relegated to second goal at PSV and wants to make minutes every week with a view to the European Championships next summer to stay in the picture with national coach Ronald Koeman.

Zoet signed a lease on Tuesday at the end of the season at Utrecht. Before the winter break, Mark van Bommel decided to remove him from the PSV team. That struck the keeper, who had no happy period. “I think everyone knows my situation. I wanted to play and Utrecht offered me that opportunity,” Zoet told Utrecht TV.
“It went pretty quickly today. I spoke with the trainer and technical director (John van den Brom and Jordy Zuidam, ed.). I had a good feeling and I would like to get started here. We need to make sure that we get European football. ”
Sweet knows that he must do his best to force a base place. “Of course I have to perform and live up to it. I also have other goals: go to the European Championship at the end of the season and show that I can keep going.”
