Two-thirds of French people (66%) say they oppose the establishment of a pivotal age below which it will not be possible to leave with a full-rate retirement, as part of the ongoing reform, according to a Elabe Opinion poll.
The other measures of this reform, on the other hand, are approved by the majority of respondents: 54% (+2) are in favor of setting up a point-based pension scheme and 65% (-2) in favor of abolishing it 42 existing plans including special plans, according to this poll released Monday.
In total, more than half (53%, -4) are opposed to the reform in the state.
Regarding the protest movement accompanied by strikes in transport for more than a month, the same proportion (53%, -1) continues to support it when 38% (+1) disapproves of it.
For 43% (-3) of those questioned, the government is responsible for the current social conflict and for 23% (+2) it is the unions which are responsible for it.
Finally, two-thirds (62%) of those questioned believe that the recent concessions granted to certain categories (police, opera dancers, pilots …) distort the initial project, even if 56% find them justified for specific professions.
