MOSCOW (Sputnik) – British police officers detained a man in connection with the murder of a 12-year-old boy, who was killed after being hit by a car in the southeast English county of Essex, local police said.
"A 51-year-old man from Loughton was arrested on suspicion of murder, six crimes of attempted murder, a crime of causing death by dangerous driving, six crimes of causing serious driving injuries, fleeing the scene of the accident and driving without a license "says the statement.
On Monday at approximately 3:20 p.m. GMT, a driver hit several pedestrians near Debden High School.
Of the seven victims who were injured in this traffic accident, a 12-year-old boy died, Essex Police said.
"The other six injured are: two 15-year-old boys, a 13-year-old boy, a 16-year-old girl, a 12-year-old boy and a 23-year-old woman," he revealed on his Facebook account.
Rob Brettell, inspector of the unit specialized in the investigation of road accidents of the Essex Police, on Monday wrote in his Twitter account that law enforcement officers were trying to locate a man from the town of Loughton named Terry Glover and is 51 years old.
