The next G7 summit will be held at Camp David

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – The 46th edition of the G7 summit, to be held in 2020 in the US, will take place in Camp David, Maryland (east), just like the 2012 edition, announced US President Donald Trump.

Trump previously planned to hold the Group of Seven Summit at his Miami golf club, but in the face of numerous criticisms, in October he announced that he would consider another site to host the international forum.

"We're going to do it at Camp David," he said at a press conference in London, asking if he has already chosen the new place for the G7 summit.

The summit will take place between June 10 and 12.
Previously, the American president planned to hold the Group of Seven Summit at his Trump National Doral golf club in Miami.

However, the decision faced numerous criticisms Although Trump himself said he did not intend to profit from the event and thus increase his income that, according to some media such as Tampa Bay Times, have experienced a decline since 2016.
