Fouad Rashid, head of the Supreme Council for the Southern Revolutionary Movement in Yemen, said that the current conditions in the capital, Aden, are painful, annoying, and do not augur any relief for successive crises in the short term.

The head of the movement said in an interview with "Sputnik" today, Wednesday, that the signatories of the Riyadh agreement did not comply with the normalization of military and security conditions to prevent the south from entering a new spiral of conflict that would end all hopes for the victory of the southern issue.
Rashid stressed that "the security situation in the south has deteriorated much more after the Riyadh agreement than it was before the events of Aden last August, and the bitter truth is that since the liberation of Aden four years ago, the city has not witnessed security stability, whether with the alliance or legitimacy, The two parties used their tools to destabilize security, disrupt services, and halt reconstruction due to competition, especially between legitimacy and the Emirates, which had the greatest impact on all aspects of life as a result of the multiple security and military rooms in Aden.

Rashid said, "Some southerners were dreaming of stability after the signing of the Riyadh agreement, but the indications are not promising unless Saudi Arabia, the sponsor of the agreement, intervened strongly to cause a breakthrough in the first clause of the agreement related to presidential protection and the governor and director of Aden's security."

Rashid said, "The Harak Council welcomed the Riyadh agreement on its security and military aspects, and we totally rejected the political side and detail, especially with regard to the participation of a specific faction representing southerners and forgetting the struggle and blood of the southerners and their slogans for many years, and southerners have the right to have a special chair in any delegation to negotiate." ".

Rashid said:

Far from what was done in the Riyadh agreement, the Revolutionary Council will seek to form a southern platform that is present from the south, indicating that it is not possible now to accuse any party of obstructing the agreement, because the parties to the agreement are now fighting for power and each has its own arguments and motives, what is currently happening is Power battle.

Saudi Arabia has been leading a military alliance to support President Hadi's forces to restore government rule since March 26, 2015, against the Houthis who control the capital, Sanaa.

To date, the bloody conflict in Yemen has resulted in the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people from their homes, cities and villages, the spread of infectious diseases and famine in some areas, and a great destruction in the country's infrastructure.

It also resulted, according to statistics of UN bodies and organizations, the killing and wounding of hundreds of thousands of civilians, as well as the deterioration of the humanitarian situation, outbreaks of diseases and epidemics, especially cholera, and the decline in the amount of cash reserves.
