MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The first astronaut of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Hazzaa Mansoori, who visited the International Space Station (EEI) on the Soyuz spacecraft, confessed that he likes Russian winter.
"The weather is nice, I like it, you especially notice it when you arrive from the UAE, where it is currently 25 degrees, at Russian temperatures of about 5 or 10 degrees below zero," he said at a crew reception ceremony that It was developed at the Cosmonaut Preparation Center (Moscow province).
Along with Mansoori, the ceremony was attended by Russian cosmonaut Alexei Ovchinin and American astronaut Nick Hague.
The Russian Oleg Skripochka, the American Jessica Meir and the Emirati Hazzaa Mansoori went to the International Space Station from Baikonur (Kazakhstan) last September 25.
Mansoori spent eight days in the ISS and returned happily to Earth on October 3 on the Soyuz MS-12, along with Ovchinin and Hague.
