The United States Department of the Treasury added on December 2 to the list of sanctioned vessels of the state company Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) to the Panamanian flag oil tanker "Icarus", and those of the Venezuelan flag "Luisa Caceres de Arismendi", "Manuela Saenz", "Paramaconi", "Terepaima" and "Yare".
The measure was adopted because those ships transport crude from Venezuela to Cuba bypassing previous Washington sanctions, by changing names, according to the Treasury Department statement.
"The United States does not have to put its nose in Venezuela, our nation, our Government, elected by Venezuelans, has the right to manage its wealth as it wishes, but the United States is always wanting to control everything for that reason sanctions Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, "Carmen Vargas, one of the mobilization assistants, told Sputnik.
The activity to reject the meeting in Bogota of the Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance (TIAR), convened by the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) took place in central Caracas.
For his part, Hebidalina Torres said that his country has remained despite the sanctions of the United States, because it manages its resources independently.
"They want us to do what they say, that's how the United States works, wanting to dominate, attack, as if it controlled the world, but our president Maduro has survived because he doesn't let himself be dominated by the whims of American imperialism," he said.
So far in 2019, the PSUV has called numerous rallies to reject the actions of the United States.
At the TIAR meeting held in Bogota, the participating countries announced that they will restrict access by officials close to the Maduro Government.
Caracas maintains that these measures are also promoted by the White House.
