"Soon we hope to have a new meeting of the Mixed Commission here in Russia (…) Next year, now in 2020, it will surely be held in the first half," he said at the Argentine Day fair in the Central Market of Moscow .
He said the parties have not yet agreed on the exact date.
"It will be determined in the coming weeks," Sokolowski said.
The previous intergovernmental commission was held on May 27 and 28, 2019 in Buenos Aires, co-chaired by the head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Control of Russia (Rosseljoznadzor), Sergey Dankvert, and the secretary of International Economic Relations of the Argentine Chancellery, Horacio Reyser.
As regards bilateral trade, Sokolowski described the current level of trade between Russia and Argentina as "satisfactory" and the trend of both the previous year and this year as "very positive", although it does not yet have the total balance, He predicted that the result may be better than in 2018.
The head of the Economic Section stressed that "Russia is a very important market, very interesting" and attractive to Argentine sellers.
"So I think positively that the new government (of the elected president of Argentina, Alberto Fernandez) will also continue to increase what the previous government has already done," said the minister.
He added that Argentina is interested in increasing exports of products with greater added value, without specifying specific products.
"We want to have a greater presence not only in typical products, not only in raw materials, but also a kind of products that have their added value, this would be a very interesting stage so that there is also an important branch in the collaboration between Russia and Argentina" said Sokolowski.
