An Egyptian court on Sunday decided to extend the verdict in the Ansar Beit al-Maqdis case, in which 208 defendants, including terrorist Hesham Ashmawy, are being tried for a hearing on February 1.

Egyptian media reported that the Cairo Criminal Court, held in the Tora district, headed by Chancellor Hassan Farid, and the membership of advisers Khaled Hammad and Baher al-Din, issued the decision to extend the term.
The Supreme State Security Prosecution charged the defendants in this case with the crimes of establishing and assuming the leadership of a terrorist group, aiming at disrupting the provisions of the Constitution and laws, preventing state institutions from exercising their activities, violating the rights and freedoms of citizens, damaging national unity and social peace, and communicating with a foreign organization. Hamas, the destruction of state facilities, premeditated and premeditated murder, as well as automatic weapons, ammunition and explosives.

On November 27, the Egyptian Military Criminal Court sentenced the terrorist Hesham al-Ashmawi to death by hanging after being charged in the case known as Farafra.

In its ruling in case No. (1/2014), the court decided that the military prosecutor and the well-known media person in the case of "Farafra" in today's session, to punish defendant Hisham Ali Ashmawy by hanging where the accused committed 14 crimes.

The most prominent charges against the defendant were involved in the targeting of former Interior Minister Major General Mohamed Ibrahim on September 5, 2013.
