An impressive fire on the outskirts of the Russian city of St. Petersburg had to be put down by firefighters. Destruction, judging by the images, is more typical of a science fiction film than of real life. Sputnik offers you the video of the feat of these men.

The fire occurred in a 12,000 square meter hangar in an industrial area near the city of Pushkin. In the recording you can see how the flames ruthlessly destroy the installation while firefighters try to control it.

Several buildings ended up collapsing in the wake of the catastrophe. Such was its severity, that the fire won category four – in Russia they are classified in five. About 220 firefighters and 49 teams took part in this battle against fire.
