According to Sputnik, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Moscow announced the visit of Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Seyed Abbas Arakchi to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Russian President's Special Representative for the Middle East.
The meeting, which took place on Friday, November 17, discussed the developments in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf, including the situation in Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, as well as Iran's Hormuz Peace Plan and Russia's plan to provide collective security in the Persian Gulf. They did.
The two sides also stressed the need for continued consultations and dialogue between the two countries on developments in the region.
Iraqis traveled to Moscow to attend a conference on Nonproliferation, Disarmament and Nuclear Energy, in which part of the issue will be discussed in the future.
