Jordan's Al-Ghad Newspaper's Twitter account posted photos of King Abdullah II receiving the award and commented: “ The King receives the 2019 State-of-the-Researcher Award in New York, awarded by the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, in recognition of His Majesty's wise policy and his efforts to achieve peace and stability. During the ceremony, a video was presented highlighting the achievements of the Jordanian monarch, why he was awarded the prize, his role in the pursuit of peace in the region and the promotion of interfaith dialogue and harmony.
The Jordanian delegation included the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, the King's Advisor for Communication and Coordination, the Permanent Representative of Jordan to the United Nations and the Jordanian Ambassador in Washington.
