King Abdullah II receives the “ statesman-researcher '' award for 2019


Jordan's King Abdullah II received the 2019 State of the Scholar Award from the Washington Institute for Near East Policy in New York in recognition of his policy and efforts to achieve peace, stability and tolerance in the Middle East.

According to Jordan News Agency, the award was presented to King Abdullah, chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, James Schreiber, at a ceremony held on the occasion.

Jordan's Al-Ghad Newspaper's Twitter account posted photos of King Abdullah II receiving the award and commented: “ The King receives the 2019 State-of-the-Researcher Award in New York, awarded by the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, in recognition of His Majesty's wise policy and his efforts to achieve peace and stability. Harmony and tolerance in the Middle East. "

During the ceremony, a video was presented highlighting the achievements of the Jordanian monarch, why he was awarded the prize, his role in the pursuit of peace in the region and the promotion of interfaith dialogue and harmony.

The Jordanian delegation included the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs, the King's Advisor for Communication and Coordination, the Permanent Representative of Jordan to the United Nations and the Jordanian Ambassador in Washington.
