(ANSA) – AKCAKALE (TURKEY), 12 OCT – The opposition forces
Syrians, backed by Turkey, have reached a highway
strategic in the north-east of Syria while the Turkish offensive
against Syrian Kurdish fighters enters its fourth day.
The Anadolu agency reported.
The forces arrived on the M-4 highway that connects the
Syrian cities of Manbij and Qamishli, 30km south of the border
Turkish. Turkey said it wanted to reject the militias
Kurds of the Popular Protection Unit (YPG) which it considers
terrorists for its links with the Kurdish insurgency that lasts
for decades within its borders.
